Hello friends,
I'm sorry I didn't make a newsletter for October. I was just so busy trying to do a hundred things at once that writing just sort of slipped off the plate. I hope you are having a lovely fall and staying warm, it will be the holiday season in the blink of an eye.

As well as editing book 3, I have been working on the winter window for the shop and we finally installed it a few days ago, just in time for the Christmas market crowds!
I wanted to keep the fall window and add to it, so after a little thought I decided to put in a second caravan and a little butterfly house.

I made the butterfly house out of card and paper mache. I added a door and windows made of cardboard and clear resin and painted it with my oil paints. (The roof is covered with dry grass from the garden).

A lovely customer gave me two beautiful little caravans, I painted them green and blue and made little creatures with gifts who are sitting at the door.

Harold got a velvet Christmas cape, lots of gifts, and Christmas decorations so he's ready for the holidays.

And here is the finished Christmas Window.

Well, hello there!
I'm sorry we missed you last month. Robin and I were off visiting the glorious Yorkshire countryside while Jayne worked her little fingers to the bone making the Christmas window display (poor thing). We ended up at a wonderful hall in Burton Agnes quite by accident. Robin saw the gatehouse from the road and thought he recognised it from a book he had seen in the library. We squeezed into the garden through a hole in the hedge and wondered about the beautiful gardens before realising it was getting late. Some kind soul had left food on a table, and we helped ourselves to a nice meal and then found lodgings for the night in a very nice little house next to the wall. The following morning, we had a stroll around, and I noticed that the front door was slightly open, so we slipped inside and had a look around. Robin had his camera with him and he took some lovely pictures which he is dying to share so I will hand you over to him.
Stay warm, and don't spare the treats! Until next time
Quentin

Hello everyone and thank you very much for reading this message from me. We went to visit a very nice house which was a long way from home, and when we got there the outside was a bit scary because there were lots of fierce birds about that were guarding it, but then Quentin told me they were statues and they couldn't move so I just kept an eye on them. We stayed in a little house by the walled garden, and in the morning we went to take a closer look at the house and the door was open so we went inside. On the walls were lots of oil paintings of the birds who used to live in the house, I don't know their names but there were pictures of people too, and I think they might have been the cooks and caretakers. I hope they got nice food to eat, there was a very big dining table so they must have had lots of parties. Do you like parties? I like to dance and I like food too, my favourite are griddle cakes with apple butter, we made some yesterday but there isn't much apple butter left because a hedgehog ate the apples but we don't mind because he needs the energy for winter.
Thank you for reading this Robin
